What is the Eligibility Criteria for AP EAMCET 2016

1.  EAMCET Candidates are required to be of Indian Nationality or Persons of India Origin (PIO)/Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) Card Holders, provided they meet the specified criteria.

2.  AP EAMCET 2016 Applicants are required to belong to Andhra Pradesh and should satisfy the Local or Non-Local status – as per the requirements of the Andhra Pradesh Education Institutions order, 1974.

3.  EAMCET 2016 Candidates must obtain a minimum score of 45% in 10+2 (40% for the reserved category) to meet the Eligibility Criteria of AP EAMCET 2016.

4.  2016 EAMCET Candidates are required to have passed Intermediate Exam or equivalent with Mathematics and Physics as main subjects along with Bio-Technology or Chemistry or Biology as the optional subjects.

5.  EAMCET Andhra Pardesh Candidates should have completed 16 years of age, as on December 31 of the year of admission. There is no upper age limit.

6.  For B.Tech. (Ag. Engineering), B.Tech. (Dairy Technology), B.Tech. (FS & T), the applicants should have completed 17 years of age as on December 31 of the year of admission and an upper age limit of 22 years for all the candidates. The upper age limit for SC/ST Candidates is 25 years as on December 31 of the year of Admissions.


How to Apply for AP EAMCET 2016?

The AP EAMCET 2016 application form has been released on 3rd February 2016 and the last date to submit the filled up form is March 21, 2016. The only way to apply for AP EAMCET Exam 2016 is online via official site of the board The eamcet candidates have to fill the personal and other details in application form following with application fee which is Rs. 350/- for engineering and Rs. 350/- for medical and agriculture. If you want to apply for both the exams, the fees for you shall be Rs. 700/-. Fee is supposed to be paid through AP Online/Debit card/Credit card. The candidates are advised to keep a xerox of the filled application form/confirmation page/E-receipt of the fees for any future reference.

Exam Pattern of AP EAMCET 2016

1) The Exam Pattern of AP EAMCET 2016 will include three subjects - Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics.

2) AP EAMCET 2016 will have a total of 160 questions, from which 80 will be of Mathematics, 40 of Chemistry and another 40 of Physics.

3) All the questions of EAMCET will be objective type.

4) Each question carries 1 mark.

AP EAMCET 2016 Syllabus

For the EAMCET Engineering aspirants, there are 32 chapters from Physics, 33 from Mathematics and 31 chapters from Chemistry to prepare. The Medical students have 32 chapters from Physics, 31 from Chemistry and 27 and 21 chapters from Botany and Zoology respectively. So each category ahs its work cut out for them. What is the Selection Procedure after AP EAMCET 2016

Candidates shall be given admissions on the basis of their scores in AP EAMCET 2016. The qualifying percentage of marks is usually kept at 25% of the maximum marks considered for ranking. However, in case of candidates from Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe categories, no minimum qualifying marks is prescribed.
